What’s in a name?

Welcome to The Forsaken Club! If you have ventured along this path, then perhaps you are willing to go a little further into the realms of the paranormal.

First of all, thank you for joining me. I have been reading, investigating and facing my fears with the paranormal for many years now but, until now, have never felt the need or desire to start a blog about this delicious subject. I would merrily investigate locations, watch various paranormal TV shows for my amusement and in my spare time, would research historical locations or read the latest theories about the paranormal (which I'll not bore you with now). So what changed? What was it that spawned this site that you have wandered into?

To be honest, it was the massive influx of paranormal groups, interested individuals and ghost hunting event companies that have grown out of all proportion in recent years and along with them, a deluge of poor investigative techniques, hi-tech yet pointless electronic equipment and expectations of the paranormal that have been heavily influenced by paranormal TV shows. In short: piss poor paranormal practise.

So these are my efforts to redress the balance  - to educate, to inform, to amuse, to annoy and to critically delve into the world of the paranormal and maybe, just maybe, learn to investigate this fascinating subject correctly. There will be times when I vent my frustrations (don't we all!), but I'll make sure there's plenty of laughs along the way too. After all, the paranormal is not the most normal of subjects is it? We spend our time sitting in the dark, calling out to thin air and freezing our nuts off.

So why The Forsaken Club...? Well it's not a club for you or I. Not yet at least. I talk, of course, primarily about ghosts and the locations they might find themselves in. For they are forsaken. Lost in time. Perhaps left to replay events from their mortal lives for eternity. How very poetic. But not exactly true, as any investigator will tell you. The paranormal isn't cut and dry. There are no solid answers to any of it and it throws out more questions than answers. Join up, follow, subscribe and we'll try to answer a few of these questions along the way. We have lots to discuss....

  1. Greetings from Los angeles! I’m bored to tears at work so I
decided to check out your blog on my iphone during lunch break.

I really like the info you present here and can’t wait to take a look when I get
home. I’m amazed at how fast your blog loaded on my mobile ..
I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyhow, good blog!

  2. Hi! I have to admit, I’m impressed with your site.
I had little difficulty navigating through all the information. I found what I wanted in no
time at all. Pretty amazing. Would appreciate it when you add forums or something, it would be an ideal means for your clients
and various other visitors to interact. Great job.

  3. Have you ever found something in your investigations that you believed was, in fact, a haunting? Love well made paranormal shows, but wasn’t Most Haunted just the worst acting you’ve ever seen?
